Transcending Angel

About the Design:
This was an old piece of art that I did 4 years ago. It was an opportunity to explore architectural influences that I had at the time and had been trying to push in my work. I really admire old stone work, especially the kind of art that you find in old churches. I've always enjoyed drawing women, anything that looks like stone. I am attracted to a lot of old world elements in art. I was attempting to fuse that with what I was doing with my tattooing at the time. Most of the art that I am trying to make isn't exactly about a message. I am trying to transport people to a different time, something that seems old and familiar, but new at the same time.
